Hi there! I’m Virginia and I’m the face, brain, and heart behind FashionFounder.Me!
I’m an entrepreneur myself and I’ve run my own clothing line for years. When I started my line I was searching everywhere for helpful information but sadly I couldn’t find many resources.
Everything I could find was either (1) outdated, (2) too general to be truly useful, or (3) not relevant for the fashion industry. What I needed was practical information written BY entrepreneurs FOR entrepreneurs on how to build a business and how to implement things by yourself with only limited resources.
It took me a long time and a lot of trial and error to find valuable information and apply it to the fashion industry. Thus I started this blog to share my experiences and real life learnings with you. I want to stop you from making expensive rookie mistakes and help you build a profitable business of your own.
I hope you’ll enjoy this journey and take advantage of all the free resources on this site.

Before graduating from Parsons (NYC) many years ago I actually spent half a decade studying business (which I hated) before my parents “allowed” me to go into fashion. So when I finally graduated from Parsons I felt like I was on top of the world.
I was eager, ambitious, and excited to be a fashion designer. I didn’t just want to get coffee and run errands as an assistant designer. Instead, I decided to start my own line and I was determined to “do everything right”.
I started researching online and I bought EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK. on Amazon about how to start your own fashion business. My sad conclusion: most of it was crap. There was just no reliable, actionable, and up-to-date source of information out there.
I did the best I could but with this lack of knowledge and experience my business almost failed in the first year. It was a terrifying, exhilarating, roller-coaster experience and one that I couldn’t be more grateful for because it forced me to sit down and ask myself: How do other people succeed?
There are tons of people out there who know how to build a profitable business. Don't think that you need to reinvent the wheel. There are methods to the madness which are 100% learnable.
Repeat this after me: I, too, can learn how to build a profitable business. Eureka. All you need is a little bit of guidance, a whole lot of motivation, a lot of persistence, and someone who spells the secrets of the trade.
And that’s where FashionFounder.Me comes in: to spill these secrets, share my experience as a fashion entrepreneur, and get you one step closer to your goal. Is this going to be an easy journey? No. Getting coffee is easy. But we’ve already settled that that’s not for us.
